Partai Komunis Indonesia (PKI) adalah
partai politik di Indonesia yang berideologi komunis. Dalam sejarahnya,
PKI pernah berusaha melakukan pemberontakan melawan pemerintah kolonial
Belanda pada 1926, mendalangi pemberontakan PKI Madiun pada tahun 1948
dan dicap oleh rezim Orde Baru ikut mendalangi insiden G30S pada tahun
1965. Namun tuduhan dalang PKI dalam pemberontakan tahun 1965 tidak
pernah terbukti secara tuntas, dan masih dipertanyakan seberapa jauh
kebenaran tuduhan bahwa pemberontakan itu didalangi PKI. Sumber luar
